Escape from corporate service contracts in California

The quality of service contracts from manufacturers has declined over the last 10 years.

They’re less responsive. Slower. More corporatized. You submit service tickets or contact your service tech through a central email inbox.

Most lab managers aren’t interested in all that hooplah. You want an easy transaction to get your system up and running again.

Your service agreement with us is more like this:
  • Your service engineer is local in California.
  • Call or text your service engineer directly.
  • Get same day phone service, next day on-site service in California, and next-flight on-site service anywhere in the US.
  • You get faster repairs because we keep parts in stock manufacturers don’t. In fact, there’s a good chance your manufacturer comes to us for replacement parts (and marks up the price).
Increase throughput, uptime, and the value of every test

Your refurbished Roche Cobas 6000 or other Roche Cobas system is returned to like-new specs – like the day it rolled off the Hitachi production line.

But it’s tens of thousands of dollars less than the day it rolled off that production line.

The capacity it adds to your lab means the investment pays for itself within 2 years.

And the responsive service you get from us means your uptime is better than your other analyzers (unless you lump all your service together with us – then your entire lab’s uptime will increase by weeks annually).

Even large labs have to manage expenses carefully. They have to be profitable.

You can get financing terms quickly with us. Then the increase in efficiency, reduced overall testing downtime, and increased test throughput (coupled with the low purchase price of a refurbished Roche Cobas) account for most of your payments.

The improvements in your lab pay for themselves.

Manage your capital equipment budget easily

Your refurbished Roche Cobas is returned to OEM-or-better condition (because over the last 15 years, replacement parts have improved in quality).

You reduce the wear and tear on your primary analyzers. You reduce the cost of repairs.

You may extend the lifespan of your more expensive chemistry analyzers by 5+ years.

Make onboarding new staff easier in California

Hiring new staff in your lab is challenging.

Labs managers are bending over backwards to retain their experienced staff.

They’re the most valuable asset in any lab because experienced operators can step into any scenario and adapt quickly. They can handle the steep learning curves of new equipment and processes.

The pool of experienced operators who are going to move from their job to a new role in your lab is small.
You usually have a large pool of less experienced lab technicians to choose from, and the time you put into that inexperienced candidate is risky.
  • They might not be able to get a handle on the complexity of your systems.
  • Training is expensive. It costs you and your experienced operators time. It costs money in errors and waste.
  • After all your training, they may move on to a higher paying job. Leaving you to do it all again.
Hiring and onboarding new staff costs you close to $20,000.
Equipping your lab with a refurbished Roche Cobas makes most of that hassle obsolete.

Because it’s been in circulation for more than 15 years, there’s a good chance that most inexperienced candidates have still used it. They’re likely even proficient using it.

Your training time is drastically reduced.

Their rate of errors is drastically reduced.

The oversight you have to give them in the first 9 months is drastically reduced.

It’s a bit like a babysitter for baby lab techs. But you don’t have to buy it pizza.
Get personal, responsive service in California that values your time
“Roche doesn’t have the service techs in my region any more to support our Cobas 6000 workhorse. So we almost had to retire the system that churns out our most common tests. But we found IDE and started working with a service engineer who lives 10 minutes away. We have more uptime now and we’re considering adding a refurbished system to help cope with the growing expectations to generate results faster than ever.”

How many times have you had to convince your service provider you need them

How often have they patronized you? Frustrated you? Treated you like you’re doing something wrong?

When you call or text your service engineer at IDE directly, you get help from a friend. We’re a family business, and you’re part of the family.

It’s not your job to know how to fix obscure problems with your chemistry analyzer. You serve patients. You’re responsible for a huge volume of data.

You never have to attempt a repair on your own. We’ll walk you through exactly what you need to do and we’ll stay on the line until you’re up and running.

That’s the work and the worry we take off your shoulders.

Get everything you need for your Roche Cobas or other analyzer in one place

You shouldn’t have to cobble together parts and services from multiple suppliers to support your work.

With IDE, you get a curated collection of everything you need to run your Roche Cobas or other chemistry or immunochemistry system in one place.

Find everything you need below, or contact us and tell us what’s going wrong.

Don’t wait for a large service provider from out-of-state to triage your problem. Get it fixed now.

Trade in your instrument to save on your next refurbished system!

Your lab may be shifting priorities.

Trade in the system you don’t want anymore and put the value toward an upgrade.

There’s always another lab that could use your old analyzer. We’ll rebuild it from the frame and ensure it continues to provide value to your colleagues somewhere else.

It’s a great way to maintain your lab’s low environmental impact and stop old materials from ending up in a landfill.

Plus, it will have a huge impact on the price of your upgrade.
