IDE Depot Level Service

How Depot Level Service Works

Depot service is straightforward — you ship, we fix, we return. Our team handles everything from intake to final QC verification, keeping you informed at every stage.

Step 01

Contact & Assessment

Reach out with your instrument details and fault description. Our team assesses the issue remotely and provides shipping instructions along with a decontamination checklist before you ship.

Step 02

Decontamination & Shipping

You decontaminate and pack the instrument per our guidelines (or request our decontamination service first). Once shipped, we confirm receipt and log the instrument into our service queue.

Step 03

Depot Diagnosis & Service

Our engineers perform a full inspection at our facility, diagnose the fault, and complete the required service, repair, or refurbishment using our full parts inventory — no travel delays.

Step 04

QC Verification & Return

The instrument is tested against OEM QC specifications before return. A full service report and QC certificate ship with the instrument, and we coordinate safe return delivery to your facility.

What We Can Do at the Depot

Once your instrument is in our facility, our full team and parts inventory are available — no constraints of what fits in a field kit. We can tackle any scope of work needed.

Corrective Repair

Full fault diagnosis and corrective repair using our complete parts inventory. Complex repairs that would require multiple field visits are resolved in a single depot engagement.

Preventive Maintenance

Full OEM-specification PM performed at the depot — including fluidics, calibration, optics, and cleaning — ideal for instruments being returned to service after storage or resale.

Full Refurbishment

Complete frame-up rebuild — tubing, seals, filters, fluidics, optics, calibration, and QC — returning the instrument to like-new performance. Only possible at depot level.

Calibration & Alignment

Comprehensive photometer, optical, and mechanical alignment performed with bench-level precision tools not available in the field — restoring full measurement accuracy.

Component-Level Repair

Board-level electronics, pump and valve rebuilds, probe assemblies, and motion system repairs performed with full access to our workshop, tooling, and component stock.

Software & Firmware Updates

Software reinstallation, firmware updates, and LIS communication configuration carried out in our controlled environment, ensuring your instrument ships back fully up to date.

The Cost-Efficient Alternative to Field Service

01

Eliminates Engineer Travel Costs

Onsite service includes travel time, mileage, and accommodation for complex multi-day repairs. Depot service removes all of that — you pay only for the work, not the travel.

02

Open to All Instruments

We accept instruments whether you purchased them from IDE or not. Any major clinical chemistry, immunoassay, or hematology analyzer from Abbott, Beckman Coulter, Siemens, Roche, and more.

03

Full Workshop & Parts Access

At the depot, our engineers have access to our complete parts inventory, workshop tools, and test equipment — enabling faster, more thorough work than any field visit can achieve.

04

Any Service Scope in One Visit

Repair, PM, refurbishment, calibration — all can be combined into a single depot engagement, eliminating the need for multiple field visits across different dates and service types.

05

30+ Years of Platform Experience

Our team brings decades of hands-on experience with all major diagnostic platforms, ensuring every instrument leaving our depot has been serviced to OEM standards by engineers who know it well.

06

Returns QC Certified

Every instrument ships back with a full QC certificate and service report. You receive a fully documented, verified instrument ready to be placed back into service or sold with confidence.
