Decontamination & Relocation
We perform thorough onsite equipment decontamination and controlled shutdown, then prepare your instruments for safe relocation, long-term storage, or international shipping — fully compliant and transport-ready.

Our Process
What's Included in a Decontamination & Relocation Service
Every decontamination and relocation engagement follows a structured, safety-first process to protect your staff, comply with regulations, and ensure your instrument arrives at its destination in full working condition.
Biohazard Assessment & Safety Planning
Our engineer conducts an onsite risk assessment before any work begins, identifying hazardous fluids, reagents, and contamination levels to establish a safe work plan.
Internal Fluid Purge & Flush
All internal fluidic pathways — reagent lines, waste lines, sample tubing, and reservoirs — are fully purged and flushed to remove biological material and chemical residue.
Chemical Decontamination
Appropriate decontaminating agents are applied to all accessible internal and external surfaces, neutralizing biological agents and ensuring the instrument is safe to handle and transport.
Controlled Instrument Shutdown
The analyzer is powered down following the manufacturer's shutdown procedure — including software shutdown, probe parking, and hardware lockout — to prevent damage during transit.
Packaging & Crating Preparation
Probes, arms, and fragile components are secured per OEM guidelines. The instrument is wrapped, padded, and prepared for relocation — whether across the hall or across the country.
Decontamination Certificate & Documentation
A signed decontamination certificate is issued upon completion — required by most shipping carriers and receiving facilities — along with a full service report for your records.
When You Need This Service
Common Decontamination & Relocation Scenarios
Our team handles decontamination and relocation for laboratories at every stage — from facility moves to equipment sales and long-term storage.
Lab Moves & Facility Relocation
Moving to a new facility or reconfiguring your lab space? We decontaminate and safely shut down your analyzers so they can be moved without risk to personnel or instrument integrity.
Equipment Sale or Trade-In
Selling or trading in a used analyzer requires a decontamination certificate. We prepare your equipment to meet carrier and buyer requirements, protecting both parties in the transaction.
Long-Term Storage
If an instrument is being taken offline for storage, proper decontamination and shutdown prevents internal corrosion, fluid degradation, and biological hazards during the storage period.
Depot Repair Shipping
Before shipping an instrument to our depot for repair or refurbishment, decontamination is required. We handle the full process and provide the certificate needed for the carrier.
Instrument Retirement & Disposal
End-of-life instruments must be decontaminated before disposal or recycling. We provide compliant decontamination and documentation to satisfy facility, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
International Shipping
International shipments require thorough decontamination and certified documentation to clear customs. We prepare your equipment to comply with import and export regulations across borders.
