Description

Includes:

One Agilent 6490 LC/MS fully functional with accessories.

The Agilent Triple Quadrupole LC/MS is a liquid chromatograph triple quadrupole mass spectrometer that performs MS/MS using three sets of parallel rods (in this case, quadrupole, hexapole, quadrupole). The first quadrupole divides ions into precursor ions that are fragmented in the hexapole into product ions, which are separated by the second quadrupole. Usually, two or more precursor ions and their product ions are monitored in sequence in MRM (multiple reaction monitoring) mode. You can monitor up to 4000 MRM transitions by using Dynamic MRM.

Features/Benefits

The 6490 triple quadrupole has a compact benchtop design, achieved through use of a curved collision cell. The newly designed cell also helps to reduce background noise, improving overall system signal-to-noise. New high frequency quadrupole electronics enable faster scan rates and allow for narrow mass window isolation.

  • Robust performance and operation – no contamination effects observed for the analysis of >2000 samples
  • 10 X increase in sensitivity
  • Up to six orders of linear dynamic range
  • Zeptomole sensitivity for the most challenging applications
