The analytical system is a fully automated, random-access clinical chemistry analyzer with STAT capability designed for efficient, high-throughput testing. It operates on spectrophotometry and potentiometry principles and supports endpoint, rate, fixed point, and indirect ISE analytical types. The system utilizes a range of methods including colorimetry, turbidimetry, latex agglutination, homogeneous EIA, and indirect ISE. It can simultaneously process up to 60 photometric tests plus 3 ISE. With a throughput of 800 photometric tests per hour (up to 1,200 with ISE), it handles a variety of sample types such as serum, plasma, urine, whole blood (HbA1c), and other fluids.

The sample feeder accommodates racks with 10 samples each, supporting barcodes on both primary tubes and racks, with a total capacity of 150 samples and continuous loading capability. It accepts primary and secondary tubes ranging from 11.5 to 16.5 mm in diameter and 55 to 102 mm in height. There are 22 STAT sample positions for barcoded primary tubes, and the sample volume ranges from 1–25 μL in 0.1 μL increments. The total reaction volume is 120–425 μL, and reactions take place in quartz cuvettes at 37°C, with mixing by rotating paddles after dispensing.

The photometry system performs direct assays through the cuvette (0–3.0 OD) using mono- and bichromatic measurements at 13 wavelengths between 340–800 nm. Cuvette cleaning is fully automated with detergents. Calibration is automatic, with cooled calibrator positions and master calibration established by a two-dimensional barcode on reagent bottles supporting >3-point calibration. The system also includes auto quality control (Auto QC) with cooled QC positions.

Test requisitions can be made individually or by profile via online access, mouse, function keys, or touch screen. The instrument includes clot detection and crash prevention for both sample and reagent dispensers. It supports full uni- and bi-directional communication and runs on Windows 7® software, providing robust data storage capabilities.

In terms of physical and operational specifications, the system measures 1,950 × 1,280 × 1,000 mm (W×H×D) and operates with a power supply of 200–240 V, 50/60 Hz, 3.8 KVA.
