The BS-480 Chemistry Analyzer is a fully automated, discrete, random access system designed for STAT, urine, and homogeneous immunoassays, with STAT sample priority. It supports single, dual, triple, and quadruple reagent chemistries and can operate in monochromatic or bichromatic modes. Sample handling is optimized with carry-over of less than 0.05%, and the analyzer provides automatic sample dilution, including pre-dilution and post-dilution. An internal barcode reader enables sample and reagent barcode reading, compatible with Codabar, ITF (Interleaved Two of Five), Code128, Code39, UPC/EAN, and Code93 formats. The system also supports bi-directional LIS interface transmission.
An optional ISE module allows measurement of potassium (K+), sodium (Na+), and chloride (Cl). Reagent handling includes automatic inventory checks to ensure uninterrupted operation. The reaction system can measure at wavelengths of 546 nm, 570 nm, 605 nm, 660 nm, 700 nm, 740 nm, and 800 nm. Control and calibration options include point calibration, Logit-Log 4P, Logit-Log 5P, Spline, exponential, Polynomial, and Parabola methods, with cumulative sum checks and twin plot functionality.
The operation unit is designed for standard laboratory working conditions, operating at 110–130V, 60Hz, and 1500VA.
